To the First Three Years
At Nurturely Early Learning Greystanes, we understand that the period from birth to three years is one of the most extraordinary in human life. More than one million neural connections form every second during this time — shaping how children think, feel, relate, and learn for the rest of their lives.
Our Infant and Toddler Curriculum is a living, responsive framework shaped by the children themselves — by their cues, their curiosity, their relationships, and their voices. Every experience at Nurturely — from a nappy change to a sensory play session to a quiet moment with a book — is understood as a learning opportunity. Caregiving is curriculum. Relationship is pedagogy. Wonder is the spark.

Developmental Stages
Across all three stages, our curriculum is anchored in four non-negotiables: secure attachment,
respectful caregiving, rich environments, and genuine partnership with families.
The
Reggio Emilia Approach
The Reggio Emilia approach guides everything at Nurturely. Our programme is built on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community through exploration, discovery, and play. For infants and toddlers this means:
- Every child — even the youngest infant — is seen as competent, full of potential, and deserving of respect
- Relationships come first. Before any curriculum goal, children need to feel safe, known, and loved
- The environment is intentionally designed to invite exploration — sensory, aesthetic, and open-ended
- Educators follow the child’s lead, observing and responding to cues rather than directing
- Caregiving routines (feeding, changing, sleeping) are treated as rich relational and learning experiences

Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Our curriculum is fully aligned with the EYLF — Being, Belonging and Becoming:

Children
We see every child as unique with different potential and talent and give everyone an opportunity to learn in their own way. Each child is empowered to have a voice, a choice and a strong sense of well-being.
The Nurturely Team
Our people are our greatest asset, and we believe in empowering and equipping them to create a safe, fun and nurturing environment.
Parents
We encourage parents to get involved and create an honest and open relationship with us. Parents are encouraged to join us for breakfast once a month to get to spend time with their child, read them a book, or get to know the educators.
Community
We believe in making a difference in the local and wider community and partner with them to support our education program. We encourage engagement and exploration in nature to inculcate a lifelong love for nature, sustainable practices and service.
